Turning Gimme’s into Gotit’s

The countdown is on, and it’s only a matter of time before we break out the Christmas trees from their dusty habitats, and begin casting our thoughts back on these last 10 months that literally have passed us by in less than a blink of an eye.

Of course some people will look back and even think “oh, man. what did I even get done this year!?” But don’t worry, I think a large majority of us mere mortals think this way.

Besides, its a good thing after all. If we feel this way, it means we desire more from our lives.

Desire.

Desire’s a funny thing when you think about it. It makes us dream, it makes us think, it makes us imagine, it makes us question ourselves, and it can even make us psychotic.

It’s one thing in life that once it takes a hold upon us, there’s not much that can sway it’s jaws of life-like grip. We would be lost without it, and when we let it take over us, it can be an outstanding form of fuel that can keep us from giving up and keep us from whipping out the whipped cream and squirting it down our throat every time the “going” gets tough.

“Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one when success is almost within reach.” – Napoleon Hill.

With such little time left of the year, it goes without saying that a lot of people will just decide to pull the pin, succumbing to situations and thoughts like “oh well, i’ll give it another shot next year… Starting January 1st!… No wait, I’ll be hungover then… January 2nd then!!” “That’s a Friday”, their friend will notify them of. “Oh. Well then, the 5th!” Their friend, who is very supportive will exclaim; “perfect! New year, new you.” (Or something along the lines of that.).

“Okay then. it’s settled. I’ll stop everything I’ve worked so hard for this year, and resume on the 5th of January 2015!!… If i’m not too busy, of course.” “Of course”, their friend, who is very supportive remember, will reply with.

There may only be less than 10 weeks left of the year, but that’s still around 1680 hours! Think about that for a second.

This means that even if you subtracted 3 hours per week from that total, and put them towards any type of improvement in your life, you would still be left with 1650 hours to chill, make tea, and send your friends requests to play Candy Crush.

So as you can see, despite it feeling like 2014 is winding down to a fast and abrupt end, that’s still a lot of hours. How many per week can you see yourself putting towards improvement?

There is still so much time to get back on track, if you have fallen, and even so much time to embark down an entirely new one before that first person can step into a shop and purchase the first pair of those (un)flattering 2015 sunglasses.

New Years

So lost.

“But how?” you ask? With a few simple steps to put your mind on track and focused after your desires. We’ll get to that shortly – or for the super impatient, skip to the bottom – but let me address them in more detail before we talk about them.

The steps below are amazingly simple. So simple in fact, that many people brush them off, never even giving them a chance. But you’re different, right? Of course you are! You know that all it takes is a simple plan that can put you on the path to success and your most wanted desires. And yep, I’m not even just talking about health and fitness goals. But money, relationships, jobs, confidence, and even typical hobbies like stamp collecting. Yes, that’s right… “Typical”.

We all know the mind is a powerful ally in our lives, what we think of the most is what ultimately our subconscious guides us to. You know yourself that when you think negative, breathe negative, and live negatively, your life becomes negative. Sometimes to the point that you feel like you’ll never be able to climb out of the dark hole.

So, what about when we live, breathe and think positively?

A_Whole_New_World

A whole new world.

Now look, I’m definitely not saying that being happy and thinking “everything is awesome” 24/7 is a required feat in life. Or even faking being happy when life is hitting you. That would just be a load of shit.

Life’s definitely not all about pretty rainbows and magical unicorns – but it’s also not out to “get you”. Funnily enough, simply thinking positively, envisioning what you want, where you want to be, and actually putting energy towards it can damn well put you on the track to whatever it is you desire.

Sounds lame, I know. But hey, have you ever noticed that the more someone (or you) tells a lie, the more they believe it? It’s a simple fact about our brain that the more we tell it to think or do something, the more it decides to dissolve, learn and make it so.

The more energy and time we put towards positives in our life, whether it be health goals, money goals, relationship goals, work goals, or even completing that stamp collection, the more we will get out of it. Guaranteed.

The steps.

So, without further adieu, let me bring you these simple steps.

Número uno: Visualisation!
Just by visualising what you want, within your mind, and determining exactly what it is you want is the first step. Whether it be a physical image desire, a health desire, a money desire, or whatever, you have to know what it is you want before you begin on any plan. It must be exact, and it must be clear in your mind.

Número dos: Investment!
How much time are you willing to put towards achieving what you desire? Are you willing to sacrifice things in your life now in order to get yourself there? Be honest with yourself. If you make it to this step, then you should be well aware of how much you want it. And ultimately, how much time and energy you are willing to put towards achieving it.

Número tres: Timeframe!
Now think about it. When is it that you want to reach this desire? It’s time to lock in a date that you will stick to and constantly seek to adhere to.

Número cuatro: Plan It!
The best step. Once you’ve decided on a plan, how much you’re willing to invest, and a timeframe to achieve it, get after it immediately. It doesn’t even matter if you think you’re not ready. Just do it. The more you put it off, the more you will doubt yourself. And the more you say to yourself “I’ll just begin on Monday”, the less time you will have for achieving it.

Número cinco: Pen It!
Now it’s time to whip out the old 2B, 3B or even HB and draft out an absolutely honest and clear statement for what you want. Include exact details of how you see it in your mind. Include how you will feel when you reach it. Include what you will do to get there, when you will get there, and how you’re going to get there. Simple.

Número seis: Read It!
Read the statement out loud. Twice… Daily. Every time you do, think about what it is you want. Read it every day until you can recite it perfectly. Let your subconscious take it over, and without even thinking about it, you will be getting after it every damn day until you reach it.

Wrapping up.

Did it get a little too ‘The Secret‘-like in the above? That’s a good thing. We, as humans, are always so scared of the unknown. So scared of what we have never done. But these steps are so simple, why not give them a try? Why not break from the shepherds line and finish this year on a high knowing you’re on your way to what you want, and where you want to be?

If you’ve been doing the same thing for so long, and are longing for the day things will magically change, when will that stop? Will it even stop? Or will it be October 2015 in the blink of an eye, and you will be feeling the exact same way you do right now?

Want an extra step to secure your success path? Or possibly you need more help, examples, ideas, or are simply just stuck at where to start? You’re in luck. I just released my brand new eBook ‘Six Sexy and Surprisingly Super Simple Steps for Success‘.
